Baldassini Guglielmo (Genoa, 1885 – Valparaiso, Chile, 1952) was an Italian painter.
His work is characterized by material brushstrokes and a chromatic play of lights and transparencies that make some of his paintings unique which have the sea as the subject of choice.
He attended the Brera Academy in Milan for three years, dedicating himself above all to landscape and seafaring. He began exhibiting in several Italian cities and maintained close ties with the Milanese artistic world.
In 1913, one of his paintings was purchased by the King of Italy.
Baldassini was also an excellent etchist, exhibiting in various European capitals and in Tokyo, Japan, where some of his works were purchased for the imperial museum.
In 1915 he became an honorary member of the Brera Academy.
In 1922 he participated in the Florentine Spring Exhibition with the works "The church of San Biagio nel Friuli" and "Life in the port of Genoa".
After the 1930s, a fruitful artistic period began in South America.
