Endre Bàlint (Budapest, 1914 - Budapest, 1986). He studied graphic design and poster design at the Hungarian school of applied arts but soon revealed himself attracted to painting and moved to Paris where he met Andre Breton. He exhibits in numerous European cities, wins important prizes and his works are present in various museums and private collections. He paints subjects taken from the Second World War and works of surrealist inspiration, landscapes born from his dreams and frightening figures with macabre and grotesque accents.
