Bologna 1853 - Trieste 1939 Trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in his hometown, he spent most of his years and carried out his activity as a painter and decorator in Trieste, where he taught for a long time at the Industrial School. He painted in oil and watercolor mainly genre themes, but also portraits and views of Trieste. He participated in numerous exhibitions, including the Turin Expositions of 1874 (The evening before the duel), 1876 and 1877 (Night beggars); of Milan in 1894 and 1906 (On the beach of Barcola) and at the Florentine annuals of the 1970s. He also often exhibited abroad: in Buenos Aires in 1910 and at the Paris Salons in 1911, 1912 and 1913.
