Salvatore Balsamo (Naples, 1894 – Naples, 1922) was an Italian painter. He trained in his hometown under the teaching of Vincenzo Irolli, Giuseppe Casciaro and Eugenio Scorzelli; he died at just twenty-eight, leaving little biographical information. He distinguished himself as a landscape painter with a robust and spontaneous style, influenced by the masters and works of Nicolas De Corsi. His works are preserved in the Gallery of Modern Art in Milan and in the art collections of the Cariplo Foundation.
