Sofia Battisti (1987 - ) was born in Dolo on 2 November 1987 and from a young age showed a predilection for drawing and painting. He began his studies at the “Amedeo Modigliani” Art School in Padua. After graduating, he continued his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice where he graduated. In 2011, during her university years, Sofia participated in the photography competition "The photographed photographer", where she won the prize for the photo most appreciated by the public. Also in 2011, the young artist was selected by GAI (Young Italian Artists) to exhibit her paintings in the “Nuovi Segnali” exhibition at the ESU center in Padua. In 2013 Battisti exhibited his photographs from the “Self-portraits” series at the “Photissima” exhibition in Turin. Among her experiences, it is important to highlight the international ones which occurred in 2015 and 2017 respectively: after being selected among several artists all over the world, she began a collaboration with the contemporary art gallery in London "Wealth-of-art" and from From 6 March to 4 April 2017 she was chosen to participate in the artistic residency, lasting one month, in Montevideo (Uruguay) as part of the “Professione Artista 2.0” project; this experience ends with an exhibition, entitled “Va Bene”, in the same South American city.
