Alberto Bazzoni (San Nicomede, 1889 – Milan, 1973) was an Italian sculptor. Between 1908 and 1913 he attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Parma. He took part in the First World War and later settled in the city. He created public monuments including the fountain for the Reggio Emilia barracks and the war memorials in Fidenza and Salsomaggiore. In 1926 he moved to Milan where he continued his activity as a sculptor; influenced by the study of Roman statuary, he sculpted the statue of Sant'Agostino for the Duomo, the tomb of his wife Bianca in the Monumental Cemetery, and a series of large-scale statues and bas-reliefs in Milan's Central Station. From 1936 he was in Paris where he remained until the outbreak of the war producing small bronzes for private collectors. From 1946 to 1950 he returned to the French capital and, later, he was back in Milan.
