He joined Futurism in 1929 and was among the founders of the Futursimultanist Bloc in 1931, together with the artists Augusto Favalli and Bruno Tano, the sculptors Alfredo, Gianni and Tomasetti and the poet GE Mattia. After meeting Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, the group renamed itself the Roman Futurist Group. Belli participated in the Venice Biennials of 1930, 1932, 1934 and 1936 and in the Roman Quadrennials of 1935 and 1939. He exhibited at the Aeropainting Exhibitions from 1933 to 1939.
