Antonio Bencich was born in Biella in 1949; after a debut as an art restorer, in the 1980s he designed and built furnishing accessories, collaborating with the best Milanese designers. A strong passion for pictorial research takes him to New York where he comes into contact with pop art. He then dedicated himself completely to painting and sculpture, ranging from a metaphysical matrix to a pop vision. In 2011 one of his works will be published on Minerva match boxes.
