Bentivegna Vincenzo was a sculptor born in Sciacca, in the province of Agrigento in 1879 and died in Rome in 1943. He participated in the National Art Exhibition at Brera and mainly carried out his activity in Rome. His work was characterized by a distinctive and recognizable style, which helped him gain a prominent place in the artistic scene of his time. Some of his most famous works include: "The Flight of the Angel" - a sculpture representing an angel in flight, made of white marble, "The Pietà" - a sculpture representing the Virgin Mary holding the body of Jesus Christ, made of bronze, "The Genius of Evil" - a sculpture representing an evil genius, made of black marble, "The Kiss" - a sculpture representing two lovers kissing, made of pink marble, and "The Last Supper" - a sculpture representing the last supper of Jesus with his apostles, made of terracotta.
