Franco Bemporad was an Italian artist born in 1926 in Florence and died in 1989. After studying medicine and psychoanalysis, he moved to Rome in 1952 and later to Milan to dedicate himself to painting and cinematography. In 1957 he joined the Nuclear Movement by signing the manifesto Against Style and, in the same year, he exhibited for the first time with a personal exhibition at the Galleria Montenapoleone in Milan.
In 1961 he joined the Continuità group, composed of Dorazio, Fontana, Novelli, Perilli, A. Pomodoro, G. Pomodoro, Tancredi and Turcato. Starting in 1973, he began using pointillist sequences, which became one of the defining characteristics of his work.
