Oliviero Berni (Milan, 1931). He studied at the Brera Academy and the Sforzesco Castle Art School, his training derives from geometric abstractionism which was taught to him by Mario Radice in Como. During this period, his interests will vary, moving to the field of visual arts. He travels between Europe and America, where he begins painting as an illustrator. Following several steps, he arrives at a figurative language in which enigmas and symbols no longer exist, but only reality. His still lifes are notable, which he painted with a skilful touch almost inherited from the masters of the past.
