Maurice Alexandre Berthon (born 28 December 1888 in Constantine - died 20 September 1914 in Jonchery-sur-Vesle) was a French painter.
He entered the Julian Academy where he studied with Marcel Baschet, Henri Royer, François Flameng and Adolphe Déchenaud.
A student of the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts starting from 1911, he exhibited for the first time at the Salon de Paris in 1908 and then every year until 1914, the year in which he exhibited "l'Automne" and "Femme endormie". In 1912 he obtained an honorable mention for "Étude de nu".
When the First World War broke out, he joined the 5th Infantry Regiment and participated in the Battle of Charleroi.
