Luciano Bertoncini Biography
Luciano Bertoncini, born in 1939 in Feltre, moved to Treviso where he began working at the architect Vittorio Rossi's studio, from which he acquired considerable experience in the construction and design sector. During this period, Bertoncini designed the Zattera bed and the Italian Look living room furniture, which, thanks to their innovation, contributed to outlining the style of modern Italian furniture. During his career, Bertoncini came into contact with Joe Colombo, a famous designer, who, as artistic director for the Elco company, decided to include in his catalog the Gronda coat hanger, winner of the second prize in the Abet Print competition in 1971. Following the premature death of Joe Colombo, Bertoncini took charge of the executive aspect of his project for the exhibition "Italy: the new domestic landscape" at the Moma in New York. Currently based in Treviso, Bertoncini dedicates his energies to planning in the fields of design and architecture.
