Felice Bialetti was a famous Italian sculptor born in Mede on 23 September 1869 and died at just 36 years old on 17 May 1906.
He attended the Albertina Academy in Turin, under the guidance of Tabacchi, where he carried out his first studies. In 1892 he enrolled at the Brera Academy in Milan, where his teacher was Butti.

Felice Bialetti Biography

Felice Bialetti was a famous Italian sculptor born in Mede on 23 September 1869 and died at just 36 years old on 17 May 1906.
He attended the Albertina Academy in Turin, under the guidance of Tabacchi, where he carried out his first studies. In 1892 he enrolled at the Brera Academy in Milan, where his teacher was Butti.
He created the sketch for the monument to Cavallotti, now preserved in the Gallery of Modern Art in Milan together with his other works. In 1902, he won the gold medal in Venice with 'Pensiero Dominante', the work for which he is best known. In 1902 he also created the funerary monument for the Izar family of Milan, located in the Monumentale cemetery.
In 1904 he worked on the Fabbrica del Duomo in Milan.
In 1907, a posthumous Bialetti exhibition was organized at the Permanente in Milan. His 1901 work 'The Poet's Inkwell', which demonstrates his adherence to the sinuous lines of floral motifs, was presented in the exhibition at the Permanente in Milan dedicated to Liberty, held in the years 1972-1973.
