Gerardo Bianchi, born in Monza in 1845 and died in Milan in 1922, was a painter from Monza of the 19th and 20th centuries. Belonging to a family of artists, he attended the Brera Academy, where he studied under the guidance of Giuseppe Bertini. At just seventeen he became a drawing teacher at the Bosisio College and then specialized in miniature portraits on enamels and ivories. He then also dedicated himself to photography.
The works of the painter from Monza portray different subjects and light genre scenes including that of the rustic life of the Brianza farms and sericulture. In 1915 he participated in the Brera National Art Exhibition with the paintings "Cuccioli" and "Lo Zuccaro". Among Gerardo Bianchi's most successful works are the portraits of Carolina Fusetti Scotti and Domenico Panceri. Some of the painter's works are also preserved in the Civic Museums of Monza.
He died in 1922 in Monza, at the age of seventy-seven.
