Daniela Billi Biography
Daniela Billi, aka BILLI, is a painter and poet born in Switzerland in 1963. Since childhood she has shown a strong artistic personality which developed after moving to Florence, where she attended theater courses and obtained an acting diploma of the "Cinema Imagine" film school. Her continuous artistic solicitation led her to express her emotions through painting and poetry, using different techniques such as collage, pastel, plexiglass, oil and mixed media sculpture paintings. His works are characterized by bright and soft colors that serve to highlight nearby shapes and give depth to the infinite, generating a mix of colors and lights that energetically compose into poetry. The works are born with different movements which can be linear, rotary and undulating, managing to generate a mix of colors and lights which energetically compose into poetry. A wordless poem made of thoughts. Thoughts that become colors, colors that generate abstract shapes, shapes that tell of silent worlds, invisible to the eyes but so dear to the unlimited space of the imagination, the only one capable of accompanying us to the door of truth and providing us with the right key to succeed to open it and then explore it and make it their own. The emotions are strong and all secretly contained in the colors used by the artist who, transported by an almost innate instinct, gives vent to her creativity. A reality that meets with the psyche, with the varied emotions of the artist to give life to something new, to new, never felt emotions that the heart identifies and the body, through movements, follows, grasps and immortalizes with extreme freedom. Various apparently non-vital, inert materials are modeled through a sensitive dialogue between the external world and the internal world and acquire shapes that act as mirrors to a nature that only the eyes of the heart and soul can see. Billi's works are unmistakable and her sabers of colors that intertwine on the space of the canvas are peculiar to the feminine universe, that of being fruitful and having no boundaries, not even between various forms of expression. Daniela Billi has exhibited her works in various exhibitions and was the protagonist of the Festival of popular thought/Palio di San Rocco Pellegrino in San Miniato, where in 2017 an exhibition was dedicated in her honor in the church consecrated to the saint.
