Luigi Bini, born in Florence on 21 June 1897 and died in Parma in 1980, was a Tuscan artist who, trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, distinguished himself as a painter, ceramist and sculptor. He has never felt limited by traditional techniques, but on the contrary has always loved experimenting with new creative methodologies. His paintings, mainly composed of portraits and figure studies, were made mainly with pastels and tempera, thanks to which he obtained lively and soft chromatic transitions through broad brushstrokes. He was a professor at the Art Institute of Parma.
