Paolo Bini (1984 - ), born in Battipaglia, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples in Scenography, studying with Salvatore Michelino and Massimo Bignardi. In 2007 he was assistant to the set designer Gerardo Viggiano at the Cinespettacolo del Grancia in Brindisi Montagna. At just thirty-four years old, Paolo Bini is revealing himself as one of the most interesting and original Italian painters of the new generation, already ripe for international comparison. Instinctive artist and researcher, colorist and layerer, he captivates the gaze and attacks the space of painting in the painting in a continuous movement between inside and outside. Painting of spaces therefore, spaces that become immense because the painting pierces them, crosses them, subverts them, challenging the usual frontal perception. Each of his exhibitions, each of his interventions includes minimal but fundamental details: the position of the works in space, the dimensional relationships, the formal balance between fields of color and illusory monochromes.
