Roger Bohnenblust (1929-1979) is an artist who developed his genius in themes as diverse as great battles, sport, mythology, landscape - Freiburg and abroad -, the circus, horses, etc. It is with genius that he has deployed his artistic abilities revealed on the pages of this publication. Roger Bohnenblust's family moved to Freiburg when the boy was only five years old. His mother was a key figure in the capital. He encouraged his son to pursue the artistic career he aspired to. He then began studying painting and graphics at the School of Arts and Crafts in Vevey, then in the studio of René Dessonnaz in Freiburg, then at the Ecole du Louvre in Paris. At the beginning of his career he also dedicated himself to advertising design and the creation of posters for cinema. He excelled in techniques as varied as lithography, engraving, drawing and painting.
