Andrea Boldrini (1955 - ), born in Naples on 19 April 1955 to a Ferrarese father and a Milanese mother, at the age of three the family moved to Piedmont, in the province of Alessandria. He studied at the Liceo Artistico Statale of Genoa. The first collective exhibitions were held in that period in the prestigious rooms of the ducal palace under the aegis of the National Artists' Body. The intrinsic tendency towards a more "figurative" painting combines with casual influence. He enrolled in painting courses held by Professor Domenico Purificado in 1974 at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan. After completing his studies, he began his career as a teacher and experimented in the fields of scenography, photography and fashion. The main exhibitions took place in Berlin, Stuttgart, Milan, Venice (collateral events of the 55th Biennale), Naples (museum of the convent of S. Chiara), Genoa and Barletta (De Nittis foundation).
