Aldo Bonasia Biography

Born in Bitonto in 1949, he established himself at a very young age in Milan as a fashion photographer, but soon preferred the world of reportage, founding the DFP agency, Documents for Press, at just 23 years old, which in turn quickly established itself as the most innovative in photojournalism at the time. He was able to surround himself with some of the best talents among the young people of Milan and Rome, who often later became well-known professionals, but the best images were always his: photographs which above all documented the youth world of the time, the extra-parliamentary demonstrations, the clashes with the of the order. Photographs that became famous, recognized icons of that season, so much so that the Triennale dedicated to them thirty years later. an entire section of the exhibition “'68 and Milan”.
