Claudio Bonichi was born in Novi Ligure in 1943. Claudio Bonichi is considered one of the most interesting exponents of the New Metaphysics. He is a figure of international prestige
Grandson of the painter Peluzzi Eso and Gino Bonichi, known as Scipione, after studying engineering in Rome, he dedicated himself to the study of philosophy, philology, history of religion, Latin and French literature and finally chose to be an artist.
In 1964 he held his first solo exhibition at the Galleria S. Andrea in Savona and in 1968 he executed the frescoes in the dome of the Church of San Giovanni a Ceriale in the province of Savona. In the 1980s he exhibited in Amsterdam and participated in the IV Art Biennial in Medellin, Colombia, and exhibited at the Madison Gallery in Toronto, Canada. His works are present in the collections of various museums such as the MuMi - Michetti Museum in Abruzzo, the Villa Torlonia Museums in Rome, the Splendore Art Museum in Giulianova in the Marche.
He died in 2016 in Rome.
