Primitif Bono (1880 - 1955) was a portrait and landscape painter of Italian origin born in Brescia. He moved first to Cannes and later to Paris, where he exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français, of which he was a member, from 1920 to 1939.

Primitif Bono (1880 - 1955) was a portrait and landscape painter of Italian origin born in Brescia. He moved first to Cannes and later to Paris, where he exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français, of which he was a member, from 1920 to 1939.
He settled in Algeria and began exhibiting in Oran in 1923, thus achieving a certain notoriety. He also traveled to southern Algeria and Morocco.
Classified as an orientalist painter, he also painted numerous landscapes of Corsica and southern France, as well as stunning sunsets on the Mediterranean coasts.
