Born in Altare (Savona) on 2 August 1904, he lives in Milan, where he is a professor at the Brera Academy. He participated in the XXII, XXIII, XXIV and XXV Venice Biennale. In the one of 1940 he was able to set up an entire wall, which earned him the ministerial prize of the PI. He took part in all the Roman Quadrennials and in many exhibitions abroad. His compositions (landscapes and still lifes) treated with incisive linear signs with a naive manner, produce a particularly serene effect in an unmistakable feeling. His works are in various public and private collections in Italy and abroad. In 1931 he participated in the I National Quadrennial of Art in Rome, where he exhibited the painting "Landscape" and, in 1937, in the VIII Interprovincial Exhibition of Figurative Arts of the Fascist Interprovincial Union of Fine Arts in Genoa, with the painting "Old houses" . Both paintings are in the collection of the Gallery of Modern Art in Genoa.
