Dino Boschi (Bologna, 1923). At the end of the Art School, he enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, but in 1943, due to the war, he was forced to interrupt his studies. At the end of the conflict, he resumed attending the Academy and painted Bolognese landscapes and still lifes, comparing himself with classical art. In addition to painting, he dedicates himself to advertising graphics and satirical cartoons for weeklies. In the wake of the avant-garde, Boschi is influenced in the creation of still lifes, which he executes with a more conceptual and less naturalistic approach. In the mid-1960s he became interested in mass culture and created a series dedicated to football matches, seen through television: the color fields are uniform and impersonal to recreate the quality of the screen. In the Seventies he painted a series of beaches illuminated by a cold, almost artificial light and in these years he was attracted by the subject of the traveler in motion. Between 1967 and 1980 he produced lithographs and engravings, whose subjects were crowds in stadiums, beaches and railway stations.
