Charles-Eugène Breton was born on 13 April 1878 in Tours and was a French sculptor. He had a particular artistic training under the guidance of important masters such as Denys Puech, Félix and Louis Barrias, Jules Coutan and Raoul Verlet, and exhibited at the Salon des artistes français from 1899. He worked a lot with materials such as wood and terracotta but between His works also include public monuments such as the 1906 Paul Soyer Monument located in the gardens of the Ecouen Tourist Office, a bronze medallion on the Ergué-Gabéric war memorial, and the sphinx for the Ampère Monument at the Ampère palace in Lyon.
Charles-Eugène Breton died on 6 April 1968 at his home in Paris.
