Lorenzo Brinati Biography
Lorenzo Brinati was born in Pistoia in 1979. Growing up in this environment rich in history and culture, he cultivated his passion for art from a young age, sculpting copies of Mogdigliani's heads from stones taken from the street for the first time when he was fourteen years. Currently, Brinati works both in Florence and in the Tuscan countryside, combining his training with over twenty years of experience as a conservator and restorer in the traditional workshops where he grew up. His paintings reflect a refined fusion between traditional Renaissance craftsmanship and a contemporary, timeless language that combines ancient techniques with modern materials. As a sculptor, his style is characterized by a deep attention to nature, harmony and rhythm, with an eastward gaze inspired by his travels as a sailor in Greece and Turkey. Influenced by his interest in the relationship between architecture and music, between sound and space, Brinati applies these principles in his work.
Through his works of art, Brinati seeks the complete expression of emotions, trying to achieve hidden completeness, purity and brightness, which satisfy the senses and make the understanding of the soul his only goal.
