Caroline Burnett, born in the United States in 1877 and died in 1950, was an American painter who spent a good part of her artistic life in Paris. A member of the Société des Beaux-Arts de Paris, she exhibited her work at the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts in 1898. Burnett was known for her impressionist paintings of Parisian streets which featured hints of abstract influence, especially in her figurative works. Most of his works were intended for the tourist market. Thanks to her skill in the use of light and shadow, she managed to create cityscapes representing all the seasons of Paris.
