Guido Cadorin (Venice, 6 June 1892 – Venice, 18 August 1976) was an Italian painter. In Venice he was a pupil of Cesare Laurenti. He exhibited at Ca' Pesaro in 1909 and at the Internazionale in Rome in 1911. He took part in the main world artistic events (Milan, Galleria Pesaro in 1923, Amsterdam and Rotterdam 1924, New York 1925, Brussels 1930). Between 1926 and 1927 he frescoed the restaurant hall of the Hotel Ambasciatori (now Grand Hotel Palace) in Via Veneto, in Rome. Since 1928 he taught at the Academy of Venice and in 1936 he was appointed professor of painting. In 1934 he had a wall at the Venice Biennale. In 1938 and 1942 he had an entire room at the Biennale. In 1946 he frescoed the archpriest church of Cadola, in the province of Belluno. In the period 1949-1950 he agreed to participate in the formation of the important Verzocchi Collection on the theme of work, and created, together with a self-portrait, Painters of boats. The Verzocchi collection is preserved today in the Pinacoteca civica of Forlì. Countless personal exhibitions abroad. In Italy there are his works in the Casa della cultura in Palmi. Alongside his easel work, he also works as a fresco painter and mosaicist.
