Giacinto Calandrucci (Palermo, 1646 – Sicily, 1707) was a renowned Italian painter and engraver.
He went to Rome to study in the school of the famous painter Carlo Maratta together with his compatriot Pietro del Pò. Thanks to his artistic ability based on the style of his master, he obtained prestigious positions in the sacred city.
Among the most important works are the works created in the Church of Sant'Antonio dei Portoghesi, in the Church of San Bonaventura al Palatino, in the Altieri Chapel of the Church of Santa Maria in Campitelli and in the Church of San Paolo alla Regola. Read the full biography

He went to Rome to study in the school of the famous painter Carlo Maratta together with his compatriot Pietro del Pò. Thanks to his artistic ability based on the style of his master, he obtained prestigious positions in the sacred city.
Among the most important works are the works created in the Church of Sant'Antonio dei Portoghesi, in the Church of San Bonaventura al Palatino, in the Altieri Chapel of the Church of Santa Maria in Campitelli and in the Church of San Paolo alla Regola. Over the years, he moved from the Maratta school to a more Rococo taste.
Among his notable works in the Trastevere area of ​​Rome are the frescoes in Santa Maria dell'Orto. In Sicily he created several works in the Oratory of Saints Francesco and Lorenzo. Unfortunately, his death came before the completion of these works and they were finished by his brother Domenico.
