Carmine Calvanese (Salerno, 1956). Since 1985 he has lived and worked in Treviso and studied ceramics at the Institute of Art and the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples, graduating in painting. An exponent of Italian ironic conceptualism, his work is an irony on all the clichés of the collective imagination. It allows ample space for decoration and playful subjects derived from childhood. He also uses synthetic and plastic materials, which he assembles, giving it a lively and vibrant color.
