Luigi Campini (Montichiari, Brescia, 1816 - 1890). He established himself as a portraitist and figure decorator, belonging to the romantic trend of Hayez and Bertini, but possessing characteristics of the neoclassical style. The resemblance of the portraits to the real subjects is well known, as are the balanced compositions, the delicacy and fullness of the complexions and the perfection of the drapery. Many of his works are preserved in some Brescian families and among Cassa descendants. He created altarpieces and various frescoes for palaces and churches in Brescia.
