Mario Cananzi Biography
Born in Rimini, university studies in Florence, degree in Architecture in 1985, with a thesis on the design of a motorcycle prototype. In 1989 the Master in Industrial Design at Domus Academy Milan. Since 1988 in Milan, he has been involved in design and architecture. As a designer, he works with numerous companies in the furniture sector: Edra, Vittorio Bonacina, Sawaya & Moroni, Punt Mobles, Boing, Metals, Masterly, Steel, Mimo. He collaborates with companies in the motorcycle sector: Piaggio, Aprilia, Bimota, Yamaha and KTM. He has carried out consultancy for the design of commercial spaces for companies in the clothing sector. Among the awards and mentions, in 1992 the Forum Design award at the Salone del Mobile in Milan, for the Quadronda armchair produced by Vittorio Bonacina. The following year, at the Salone del Mobile in Cologne, the Top Ten award for the Tatlin sofa produced by Edra. He has held lessons and seminars at Domus Academy and Milan Polytechnic.
