Alberto Candian (1946 - ) was born in Venice in 1946. He graduated from the Liceo Artistico Statale of Venice and the Academy of Fine Arts in his hometown. He has twenty personal exhibitions to his credit in various Italian cities and has been invited several times to exhibit at the Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation. In 1984 he participated in the national collective which was held at the Vendramin Calergi in Venice. Since 1970 he has participated in national competitions. Since 1996 he has established, together with other members, the "New Graphic Art" Association which actively participates in the artistic and cultural world, organizing courses for learning drawing, painting and figure techniques at various levels. Since 1999 he has entered the Cassa di Risparmio di Venezia Collection with numerous pictorial works. The following have written about him and his works: Roberto Joss, Paolo Rizzi, Antonio Favarato, Gabriella Niero, Giulio Gasparotti, Mario Stefani, Enzo Di Martino and Pino De Riva. Candian is an artist who has dedicated his art to depicting Venice and its surroundings.
