Antonio Carneo (Concordia Sagittaria, 1637 - Portogruaro, 1692). His father taught him pictorial techniques and as a self-taught, he deepened his study of the Venetian masters of the sixteenth century. He works in Veneto, Friuli, especially in Udine, where he creates paintings for the nobility. He appreciates Flemish art and the mixture of realist and popular figurative models. His brushwork is swirling and whimsical.
