Born in La Spezia in 1961 Casentini is among the most representative Italian abstract artists of his generation. He graduated from the Art School of Carrara in 1980, and from the Academy of Fine Arts of Carrara in 1984. Casentini has exhibited his works in Italy, the United States, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Australia and Austria, as well as 40 exhibitions solo exhibitions since 1983. Casentini's work appears in many private, corporate and public collections, including: the Museum für Konkrete Kunst, Ingolstadt, Germany; The Progressive Art Collection, Cleveland, OH; Mestna Galerija, Nova Gorica, Slovenia; and in Italy, Civica Raccolta del Disegno, Salò; Bandera Foundation for Art, Busto Arsizio; Gallery of Modern Art, Sesto Calende; MAPP Paolo Pini Art Museum, Milan; Museum of Contemporary Art, Calasetta, CAMeC, La Spezia; and the University of Pavia.
