Dario Cecchi (Florence, 26 May 1918 – Rome, 16 September 1992) was an Italian costume designer, set designer, painter and writer, son of the writer Emilio Cecchi. After completing his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, he was welcomed into the studio of Gino Carlo Sensani. The first set he attended was The Iron Crown by Alessandro Blasetti. The first film in which he was the costume designer was Riccardo Freda's Les Misérables, a job shared with the costume designer Maria Baronj who became his wife in 1950. Dario Cecchi's career is very long with films of all kinds, including nationalities.
