Garibaldo Cepparelli born in Siena in 1860, was an Italian landscape painter active between the 19th and 20th centuries.
He trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. Nicolò Canicci initially guided him in the creation of the first landscape portraits that Cepparelli copied from life in the countryside of San Gimignano. The privileged subject of his paintings are floral compositions, although he also treated the ancient and modern genre.
In 1885 he exhibited some village paintings in Florence and in the following years he returned to present landscape paintings to the Society of Fine Arts (1891-1892, “Shadow and sun”, 1892-1893, “Quiet”, “At sunrise in San Gimignano") and studies of flowers. In 1897 he sent the painting "Desolation" to the III Triennale in Milan, already exhibited in the winter of that year in Florence. In 1900 Cepparelli participated in the Alinari competition with a "Mater Purissima".
Garibaldo Cepparelli also dedicated himself to writing with the drafting of the volume "Fonografie Valdessane", written following a certain stylistic rigor, even allowing a strong emotional load to shine through.
