Born in Milan in 1930. In 1955 he participated in the Rome Quadrennial. With Romagnoni and Guerreschi he was one of the founders of "Existential Realism", a movement that also made him known abroad. Ceretti's painting, characterized by a sparse language, intense and dramatic colours, planes and objects that seem to shatter, presents itself as a linguistic continuation of realism, in which the formation of the image itself is analysed. He died in 2000 .
