Alfredo Chiappori (Lecco, 1943) is an Italian designer and writer. According to Gianbattista Zorzoli he was the first interpreter in Italy of the generational protest of 1968, in the climate of those years he collaborated on Linus and also on Ca Balà for which he designed a cover. In 1944 he lost his father, who died in the Resistance, the first drawings had appeared in Epoca in the mid-1960s. In 1969 he gave life to the character of "Up the subversive", always depicted upside down in the cartoons that will also appear on Linus. Meanwhile, with Alfreud the political approach also shifts to the personal. An eclectic artist, he has oriented himself in the artistic field as an illustrator, in the literary field as a writer.
