Antonio Cifrondi (Clusone, Bergamo, 1656 - Brescia, 1730). He moved at a young age to Bologna, where he attended Marcantonio Franceschini's school and specialized in mannerist subjects and themes. He travels between Italy and France to enrich his artistic and cultural background. The subjects range between the sacred and the profane, the works are characterized by the speed of execution, an aspect that undoubtedly indicates the artist's great pictorial skills. He created frescoes in churches and convents in Bergamo and Brescia, becoming much sought after for this type of commissions.
