Antonio Citterio Biography
Antonio Citterio (Meda, 16 June 1950) is an Italian architect and designer. Graduated in architecture from the Polytechnic of Milan, since 1972 he has collaborated in the industrial design sector with various companies, including: Ansorg, Arclinea, Axor-Hansgrohe, B&B Italia, Flexform, Flos, Hermès, Iittala, Kartell, Sanitec( Geberit group), Technogym and Vitra. Maxalto, a brand of B&B Italia, is designed and coordinated entirely by Antonio Citterio. He holds lessons and conferences. He has won awards including the Compasso d'Oro in 1987 and 1994. Some of his works are part of the permanent exhibition of the MoMA and the Center Georges Pompidou in Paris. In 2000 he founded, with Patricia Viel, a company for architectural and interior design. The studio operates internationally, developing complex project programs, at all scales and in synergy with a qualified network of specialist consultancies.
