Arnoldo Corrodi Artwork valuations, appraisals and auction estimates

Arnoldo Corrodi, born in Rome on 12 January 1846 and died in the same city on 7 May 1874, developed a great interest in painting from a young age, together with his brother Hermann. He traveled with his brother throughout Europe and in 1872, they both exhibited at the Paris Salon.

Arnoldo Corrodi, born in Rome on 12 January 1846 and died in the same city on 7 May 1874, developed a great interest in painting from a young age, together with his brother Hermann. He traveled with his brother throughout Europe and in 1872, they both exhibited at the Paris Salon.
Arnoldo Corrodi and his brother shared the same atelier for several years in Rome. Corrodi produced an enormous quantity of works which, however, were largely lost in the fire of his brother's atelier in 1892.
Corrodi's works range from historical and literary painting to watercolor painting and drawings of genre scenes and landscapes, furthermore, he was also an engraver.
Arnoldo Corrodi died in Rome on 7 May 1874 and was buried in the non-Catholic cemetery of Testaccio.
