Johann August Corvinus, born in 1683 in Leipzig and died in 1738 in Augsburg, was a renowned engraver. He distinguished himself as a mentor to Salomon Kleiner, who became his student. Corvinus' artistic creations, including views based on Salomon Kleiner's illustrations, were primarily edited by Jeremias Wolff, renowned Augsburg art publisher. Johann August Corvinus spent the last days of his life in Augsburg, where he finally died in 1738.
