Leonardo Cremonini (Bologna, 1925 - Paris, 2010). He attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna for four years and at the end of the war he moved to Milan, where he enrolled at the Brera Academy. Since 1950 he has lived and worked in Venice and here he met Virgilio Guidi, Peggy Guggenheim and Giuseppe Marchiori. In these years his style abandons academicism to turn to an exclusively imaginative painting. From 1952 to 1960 he exhibited almost exclusively in New York, although he did not live there and in that prolific period, he made friends with important national and international artists. He continues to live in Paris where he occasionally travels to work in major European cities. In 1964 he participated in the Venice Biennale, in 1965 at the Rome Quadrennial.
