CREMONINI LODOVICO Imola (Bologna) 1851 - Rome 1914 From 1870 to 1873 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. He turned to sacred and history painting, without being interested in the works of the Macchiaioli, nor in those of the Impressionists whom he had the opportunity to see during his stays in France in 1876 and 1880. From the 1980s he participated in the exhibitions in Turin (1884, The return from the party - Quai de la Guillotière, Lyon; 1888, A new edition) and Rome (1886, Grass Market). In the early years of the century his works were characterized by warm chromaticism, golden tones, and a light and elegant design, with a floral taste (La maestà d'Italia, Imola, Pinacoteca Comunale). Having moved to Rome, in 1901 and 1902 he exhibited with the company “In Arte Libertas”; in the same years he created the decoration of the religious complex of Fall River in Massachusetts.
