Arc International, of which the brand is part, has gone through some difficulties. The group, which is owned by the Durand family, has decided to focus on the core of its business, namely glass. Therefore, crystal production in Arques stopped at the end of 2009. However, products of the Cristal d'Arques Paris brand, still belonging to the Arc International group, are now made using the technical glass material called Diamax. This material combines the shine of crystal with greater resistance to impacts and mechanical washing. Furthermore, thanks to the absence of lead in Diamax, it does not produce the typical crystal sound.
