Venanzo Crocetti was an Italian sculptor born in Giulianova in 1913 and died in Rome in 2003. From a young age, he showed great artistic potential, winning competitions and exhibiting in important shows in Italy and abroad. Among his most famous works are the Door of the Sacraments in St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican and the Monument to Motherhood in Teramo. Crocetti also taught sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice and Florence. His fame reached international levels, with works exported to Japan as well. His work is now displayed in prestigious museums such as the Hermitage in St. Petersburg and the Venanzo Crocetti Museum in Rome.
