Ronnie Cutrone (New York, 1948). He studied at the School of Visual Art where he came into contact with the circle of New York artists, including Andy Wharol and his Factory. Cutrone's art is that of the mass media, the myths of Hollywood, advertising and rock'n roll. In the 1960s, Graffiti Art became popular with Basquiat and Haringh, of which Ronnie would also be a part, until the birth of Neo Pop art, then Pop Art, starting from the 1960s, which would completely affect the style of his works. His Pop Art is not polemical but objective, representative, it is the celebration of mass culture as an end in itself through its symbols, its icons, its myths.
