Antonio Da Ros, born in Venice in 1936, obtained a diploma in 1957 from the Carmini Higher Institute of Decorative Arts in Venice, obtaining the title of full professor of decorative arts and architecture. Starting in 1958, Da Ros began collaborating with the renowned glassmaker Gino Cenedese. His presence has been a constant feature in the Cenedese glass factory, always working in close collaboration with the master glassmakers. Under his artistic guidance, the factory has developed several decorative lines of contemporary design, reaching a high level of quality. In 1962, he proposed a series of figurative works portraying animals in Murano glass belonging to different species. These works were characterized by the use of immersed colored glass, presenting essential shapes and soft, clean lines. Da Ros passed away in Venice in 2018.
